Jobhunters
  What you can expect
Confidentiality

We honor your need for confidentiality and make every effort to be discreet. We will arrange interivews and meetings after hours and we would never send your resume to an employer without your specific consent. Our phone numbers are masked and we recommend that you use a private cell phone.

When you "float" your full resume on the net in open forums, newsgroups, or job sites where it can be accessed by any or all, you could become a "fidelity risk" to your company. This may not mean that you become terminated when your company learns you're "looking", but consider that you may be one step closer to the door when there is a downturn in business. We have seen this all too often. The risk is real. Use caution if you are currently employed.

Do not send your resume, or related information from the company email server. We'd be glad to introduce you to people who have been fired for doing this.

Honesty-Policy and Practice

We live by it, and require it. Since the positions we work on are primarily exclusive, we reveal the facts as we know them giving candidates the opportunity of making the right career decision. Conversely, your facts will need to be checked prior to making a job offer. We may also check such things as compensation, education, and on-the-job performance. Of course, this is done confidentially.

Professionalism-Handle With Care

We will not waste your time on situations that we feel would not be in your best interests. We will not "string you along" or create false hopes or unnecessary disappointment. We take our matchmaker status very seriously, having a genuine interest in your professional and personal needs.

Your Resume

When a match occurs, you will be contacted immediately. All resume submissions are entered onto our internal proprietary database. You stay active unless you tell us otherwise. No charge to you for these services.
Helpful hints for online resume submission (to anywhere):

1. Have your resume as an online link and/or email attachment (or both) but name the attached file something unique, preferrably your last and first name. Do not call it "resume.doc" or something generic, or it will surely become lost. Use a common word processor file type.

2. Present a printable, scanable version of the resume for insertion into the database. Optimally, you may want to have an online resume with special functionality in addition to your standard, printable version. Presentation IS very important, and the extra effort shown with an online presentation adds value if done right.

Note: We strongly recommend using the following:

my.OptimalResume.com

3. A reverse chronological resume is the most widely accepted, and it should include all pertinent dates. The maximum should be 2 pages. We highly recommend having your resume professionally written. It DOES make a difference. Follow the link above for our recommendation.

4. If you include a cover letter, we suggest including historic compensation information or what your compensation expectations are. This cuts through a lot.

5. Do not call it a CV if you are applying for a position in general industry.
